Introduction. Public health is one of the foundations of the state functioning properly. Its task is not only to combat the effects resulting from the lack of health, but especially each action leading to maintain or strive for an optimal state of health in accordance with the principle that prevention is better than treatment, not only economically, but especially from the point of view of a healthy society. Aim. The aim of the research was to review health behaviour of public health professionals associated with optimal nutrition and physical activity both at the level of knowledge related to this topic and its real use. Material and methods. The research was carried out using the anonymous diagnostic survey among 92 employees of health care. The average age of respondents was 41.7 ± 12.16, while the average length of work was 17.5 ± 9.31 years. The respondents had higher or secondary education. Results and conclusions. The researched group of respondents is familiar with health behaviours in the field of nutrition and physical activity. The analysis of health behaviours shows that among the researched group the percentage of people using drugs is quite high, especially this includes tea, coffee and alcohol. The vast majority of respondents properly realize recommendations for physical activity with regular practice. The researched are not satisfied with the level of prices to be paid for the opportunity to engage in physical activity in buildings intended for it, but despite these economic barriers, respondents are satisfied with the quality of the infrastructure. Unfortunately, both the lack of time and stress are barriers for respondents.
