A nurse who takes care of a patient performs many nursing activities and can make iatrogenic mistakes in each of the undertaken tasks. These mistakes can result not only in physical injuries of a patient, but also the psychical ones. During the treatment the following complications can occur inter alia: prolongation of the illness, disability or death of a patient. Chafes, blisters, bedsores can be the consequence of iatrogenic damages. The following results of mistakes made during nursing can occur: joint dislocation, occurring in shoulders, as well as muscle or ligament breaking or damage. The eyeball injury may occur in unconscious patients. Spreading infections related to non-observance of hygiene principles and aseptive techniques constitute a big problem. The purpose of this paper is to sensitize the entire therapeutic team, especially nurses, to imminent dangers and complications that can occur in patients while performing diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitation procedures. Each nurse should take up actions that prevent occurrence of mistakes and in case they are made to have courage to admit to them as quickly undertaken actions can correct these mistakes.
