The Constitution of the Republic of Poland guarantees every citizen the right to protect his/her health. Simultaneously, when it comes to children, the Constitution anticipates implementing special legal regulations which will provide the best heath care service available for them. Additionally, all persons below 18 years of age, living in Poland and having Polish citizenship have guaranteed medical services free of charge. They are also allowed to use medical services during their stay in another EU country based on the European Health Care Card.
