Nurses in their everyday practice meet legal issues, therefore these issues are the subject of scientific research. Authors performed a systematic review of articles, which tackle legal issues, published in Polish nursing journals. The review covered 37 articles published between 2012 and 2015. Law is a significant topic in the Polish scientific literature in the area of nursing. There are more reviews (27) than research articles (10) included in the paper. The most popular areas are: medical law, law in nursing and labor law, particularly the phenomenon of mobbing in the place of work. In part of studies there are some infringements as the content of the article or the applied research tool is not compliant with binding laws. Therefore, it seems to be reasonable to create interdisciplinary teams during scientific work. These teams shall include a lawyer and a nurse or physician.

Key words: law, nurse, medical law, nursing law.
