Introduction. Sexual initiation is the next step in adulthood and adulthood. Parents and schools are the main institutions that should perform educational functions. A safe and good school institution that can boast of didactic and educational effectiveness should be based on partnership and mutual understanding between teachers and parents. Aim. The main purpose of the paper was to show whether parents and classmates in the school educate young people about family planning methods. Material and methods. The study involved 260 people studying at the high school and technical college aged 16–19. The research method used in the study was a diagnostic survey and an author’s research tool was, an anonymous self-fulfillment survey. Results. Teens from the high school and technical college do not feel the need to talk to their parents about contraception, and one in five students does not talk to them at home. More than half of the respondents said that school activities were boring and badly conducted. Conclusions. The study led to the conclusion that parents and students were not able to talk about family planning methods and that ‘family education’ was badly conducted.
