Fraza do cytowania: Dariusz Z, Rej-Kietla A Patient under the influence of alcohol and his informed consent during the visit by the basic team of emergency medical services. Piel Pol. 2019;4(74):385–389. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.20883/pielpol.2019.51

At work of emergency medical teams, both basic and specialist, during every visit we have to deal with the consent of the patient. The head of the medical rescue team should get the permission for the patient's examination, setting up an intravenous route and transferring the patient to the hospital. The biggest problem in obtaining the informed consent is when patients use psychoactive substances and consume excessive amounts of alcohol, which changes the patient's consciousness. The aim of the article is to analyze, on the basis of literature and legal acts, the issue of the informed consent of the patient for medical intervention.

Key words: conscious conscience, state of drinking, basic medical team.
