Aim. The aim of the study is to show the influence of family system on the course of psychiatric disorders in children. Method. Family system approach analysis. Medical documentation analysis. Conslusions. Family system is a basic reference group. Psychiatric disorders in parents influence the development of disorders in children. Malfunction of the family system intensifies symptoms, which are biologically determined. Level of parents’ functioning determines the acceptance of children psychiatric diagnosis.
