Fraza do cytowania: Tyran B Nurse’s job in Goffman’s perspective. Piel Pol. 2015;1(55):73–78.

Working with people is one of the most difficult jobs, especially because of the diversity and complexity of expectations, characters, and mutual relations of interested people. Occupational obligations are changed – usually immediately and subjectively – because of the presence of other people. Due to the importance of health and life, a job of a nurse is continuously verified. The need of controlling the given impression is a natural consequence of interactions and some of its aspects are analogical to theatre plays. American sociologist, Erving Goffman, suggested a concept based on analytical categories related to the theatre. The article is to present a job of a nurse in the theatrical perspective.

Key words: nurse, job, social role, interaction, theatrical perspective.
