Introduction. Interest, especially passions, takes a crucial role in human life. Over the years, they may change, obliterate or evolve. Passion can also be a main factor in career choice. Taking care of the divergent interest from their professional activities is nevertheless developing. Aim of the study. The main aim is to determine the impact of selected personal characteristics, to have passion and interest among University students. Materials and methods. The study group consisted of 195 students of Poznań Universities. Among the respondents were 122 women and 73 men. Age of respondents ranged from 20 to 51 years. The study instrument was an author's survey and chosen questions from questionnaire H. Eysenck, EPQ-R (Eysenck Personality Questionnaire-Revised). Results. 61% of the students have a passion, and as much as 94% of students have interest 6% of students do not have any interest. Based on responses received from the survey, distin-guished 14 types of passion and 17 types of interest Among the students characterized by extraversion combined with the emotional stability (a sanguine), up 70% claim to have passion, and only 30% do not declare it. In the group of phlegmatics-person who were a combination of stability emotional and introversion, 46% had passions, while 54% had not. Conclusions. Extraversion combined with the emotional stability, have impact on having passion. It was stated that the difference is statistically significant. Based on statistical tests confirmed no statistically significant dependence between sex and having interest.
