Introducton. The paper attempts to present the opinion of nurses and midwives about the impact of selected components of professional adaptation on the happiness of nurses and midwives. The estimates were obtained on the basis of the theoretical-methodological structure and involved a sample of 86 respondents who pursued their careers outside Poland in EU countries. Aim. There are two research objectives in this publication: theoretical and cognitive ones. With regard to the first objective, it was about presenting a number of descriptive and explanatory statements concerning axiology, happiness, happiness in professional adaptation (welfare), welfare, job satisfaction and coping with occupational problems. Conversely, the cognitive goal was to describe and explain a certain fragment of social reality, which in this case was the problem of eudemonism, as a paradigm of the 21st century humanity on the example of professional adaptation of nurses and midwives. The study attempted to analyze the impact of selected components of professional adaptation on the happiness of nurses and midwives who pursued their careers outside Poland in EU countries.
