Introduction. The COVID-19 pandemic impacted the professional situation of many employees in Poland and the world. Uncertainty about the future, being able to keep the job, and a stable salary brings a lot of stress and anxiety to employees. Aim. This research was focused on the assessment of nurses’ and physiotherapists’ physical states during the COVID-19 pandemic. Material and Methods. The survey was conducted on a group of 101 nurses. The author’s custom survey form was used, consisting of questions about respondents’ current psychological state. Results. The majority of the respondents were overwhelmed by the pandemic situation, mostly due to a need to do more strenuous work. Nurses questioned worried about getting sick, and they would like to receive additional paid leave for rest. They believed that the pandemic will negatively affect hospital wards. At that moment, they were unsatisfied with their working conditions. Conclusions. Employers, despite the difficult situation, should care about their employees’ better psychical state. Without support, medical staff might show symptoms of burnout and resign from work.
